Core Missions and Responsibilities
The unit’s mandates cover the regulation of traffic, management of public transport services, and enforcement of rules governing parking and commercial transport within the municipal boundaries.

| Traffic Regulation | Design, install, and maintain all permanent and temporary traffic control devices (traffic lights, signs, road markings). |
| Public Transport Management | Regulate, authorize, and monitor local public transport services (taxis, inter-urban buses, communal transport), including setting routes and fares. |
| Circulation Plans | Develop and implement local traffic circulation plans (plans de circulation), including one-way streets and special access zones. |
| Parking and Stops | Manage and enforce rules for public parking and commercial transport loading/unloading zones and communal bus stops. |
| Road Safety | Organize and implement road safety campaigns and collaborate with municipal police to enforce traffic and parking regulations. |
| Infrastructure Liaison | Work closely with the Road Network Unit to ensure that road designs and maintenance incorporate effective traffic management features. |
