The unit is responsible for protecting the Council’s legal interests, managing court cases, and ensuring all administrative acts are legally sound.

Litigation ManagementManage and track all legal proceedings involving the Council, whether the Council is the plaintiff or defendant.
Legal AdviceProvide legal opinions and advice to the Mayor and all departments on the interpretation of laws, regulations, and bylaws.
Contract ReviewDraft and review all legal documents, contracts, agreements, and conventions involving the municipality (e.g., public procurement, leasing, partnerships).
Regulatory ComplianceEnsure that all municipal decisions, deliberations, and administrative acts are compliant with national laws and regulations (CTD Code, public procurement laws, etc.).
Insurance ManagementManage the Council’s insurance portfolio (property, vehicle, liability, etc.) and handle claims resulting from accidents or damage related to municipal activities.
Personnel DisciplineAssist the Administration/HR Department in managing disciplinary procedures and interpreting labor law concerning municipal staff.
